Michael Jackson and my iPhone

Like many people I'm a big fan of Apple's iPhone, even though some essential features have been frustratingly late. An example of this is "Push Notifications" which is Apple's solution to address the current lack of background processing.

Unfortunately the first push notifcation I ever got was from the Associated Press app announcing that Michael Jackson was "in a coma" or something to that effect. It's also the only event in my life that I can recall - "where I was when I heard the news". To this day I still get somewhat tense when I get a notifications from the Associated Press.

Despite his weaknesses and his personal failures I consider Michael Jackson a great man and will always assert that the world is a better place for having hosted his existence.

Redd Stylez - Cardio

One of Redd Stylez's Club tracks that leaked "Cardio", hot stuff and the gorgeous young lady (Gail Scott) in the picture is quite the singer as well, look out for her too!

Lil Droppa - Shawty Fever

I had to the opportunity to produce a euro-centric rap record for Lil Droppa (and FAMU college student) last summer. It's called "Shawty Fever". The dude is a riot. Here's a link to the song with some random footage:

Apple's Steve Jobs locked in on Apple Tablet

According to the Wall Street Journel Apple's Steve Jobs has been totally locked in since June on a rumored Apple Tablet. There's been wild speculation as to what such a product would look like, but I'd bet that Apple is focusing more on a break through content strategy for the device. Perhaps even a Netflix-like movie subscription service and or along with a compelling, brand new video game that showcases its capabilities. My best guess for the announcement is late October to early November 2009. It will be hot.

Redd Stylez - Anniversary

I produced this record "Anniversary" written by a then 18 year old Redd Stylez back in 2007. We recorded it my parents basement in New Jersey, and after it was a completed I realized that he was "ready" to be a professional songwriter. The record has sold many thousands on iTunes:



Redd is now in Atlanta working with Major label artists, he's co-written a song for Trey Songz called "Jupiter Love which will be in Trey's third studio album entitled "READY" in stores Sept 1, 2009.

Still, I look forward to this movie starring LeToya Luckett, Essence Atkins, Clifton Powell, Tank, Ella Joyce. (opens Oct 30, 2009)

It might give me some additional insight into the life experience I'm "supposed" to be having, ha!
